IT4Causes’ Founder & CEO, Tom Anderson, was one of several leaders highlighted in a recent article on Leadership Metro Richmond (LMR). in the business section of the Richmond Times Dispatch. Tom was part of LMR’s Class of 2014, and participation in the program was instrumental in his decision to start a new organization to meet the information technology needs of small to midsized nonprofits in RVA.
Leadership Metro Richmond, now in its 35th year, is the region’s premier leadership development program. According to LMR’s CEO Myra Goodman Smith, “We believe that when you connect diverse individuals, they develop relationships of understanding and cooperation.”
Tom couldn’t agree more. “My LMR experience introduced me to many different issues in and around Richmond, and I came away from that looking for ways to work with others to find solutions. It also got me thinking that many small agencies face the same basic problems in IT. By using a common strategy to address the common IT needs of many agencies, I think IT4Causes can enable more efficient and effective services that will have an impact in lots of diverse missions in the region.”
